KIEV, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) -- The German-Ukrainian Fund (NUF) will launch a program to support small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in East Ukraine's Donetsk and Lugansk regions, the Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported on Wednesday.

The program, worth 9.5 million euros (10.6 million U.S. dollars), will start running in November. It is intended to reimburse up to 50 percent of the cost of projects invested by SMEs.

"This program is also co-financed by the EU (the European Union)" through the KfW Development Bank, Kurt Strasser, the bank's director in Ukraine, told a press conference held in the Ukrainian capital. Enditem
