BANGKOK, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- More than 1,000 business leader, officials and representatives of private sectors as well as academics and members of civil society are expected to attend the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Business and Investment Summit (ABIS) to be held in Bangkok on Nov. 2-3, the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said on Tuesday.

The ABIS, which is ASEAN's premier annual business and investment event, will be held in conjunction with the ASEAN Summit to be hosted by Thailand. It serves as a platform for the business community to engage with ASEAN leaders, business executives, entrepreneurs and key decision-makers who shape and influence ASEAN's economy, the MFA said.

The two-day conference will see government leaders, private sectors and stakeholders from ASEAN and other parts of the world share ideas. Enditem
