New prosecutor appointed in Oman

MUSCAT, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- Nasr bin Khamis bin Mohammed Al-Sawai was appointed on Tuesday as Oman's new prosecutor, while his predecessor was transferred to the Ministry of Legal Affairs.

Sultan Qaboos bin Said issued two Royal Decrees on Tuesday to announce the appointments, Oman News Agency reported.

Under the first decree, current Public Prosecutor Hussein bin Ali bin Zaher Al-Hilali was appointed as an adviser at the Ministry of Legal Affairs.

The second decree appointed Al-Sawai as the new public prosecutor. Enditem
