SINGAPORE, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going down 0.01 percent, or 0.45 points, to close at 3,229.43.
A total of 1.11 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.03 billion Singapore dollars (about 758.19 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 190 to 175.
The STI index went up 0.68 percent, or 21.96 points, to close at 3,229.88 on Thursday. Enditem
