LONDON, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.75 percent, or 54.04 points, to close at 7,302.42 points.
Rio Tinto, a mining and metals company, soared 3.84 percent, the top gainer among the blue chips. Glencore and Evraz increased by 3.57 percent and 3.38 percent, respectively.
Auto Trader Group, a British digital automotive marketplace, was the worst performer among the blue chips, losing 3.20 percent. Hargreaves Lansdown, a financial service company, dropped 1.98 percent. Centrica, a British multinational energy and services company, shed 1.76 percent. Enditem
