BERLIN, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Hoffenheim reaped their fourth consecutive victory after beating newly promoted bottom side Paderborn on three first-half goals at the opener of the 10th round in Bundesliga on Friday.

The hosts ensured a furious start on home soil as Robert Skov's left-footed free kick hammer from 30 meters opened the scoring with just two minutes into the game.

Hoffenheim controlled the ball and Paderborn as Ihlas Bebou missed the target with just goalkeeper Leopold Zingerle to beat in the 9th minute before Pavel Kaderabek finished off a combination to double the lead from 10 meters into the bottom left corner six minutes later.

Paderborn showed a vital sign with 19 minutes played when Cauly Oliveira Souza tested Hoffenheim custodian Oliver Baumann but still, goals were scored at the other end of the pitch as Jurgen Locadia utilized Kaderabek's cross to tap home the 3-0 lead from sharp angle in the 26th minute.

After the restart, Hoffenheim decreased their efforts whereas Paderborn focused on their defence to avoid a higher defeat. Hence, goal scoring chances were a rare occurrence in the second half.

Zingerle denied Sargia Adamyan in the closing period while Abdelhamid Sabiri was unable to overcome Baumann in the dying seconds of the game.

"In the first half we played an almost perfect game. The boys did exactly what we wanted. They have shown how talented, disciplined and focused they are," Hoffenheim's head coach Alfred Schreuder said.

With the result, Hoffenheim climb on the 5th place for the moment meanwhile Paderborn stay on the last place of the Bundesliga standings after suffering their eighth defeat from ten matches.

The following fixtures are scheduled for Saturday: Borussia Dortmund host Wolfsburg, Leipzig encounter Mainz, Bayer Leverkusen face front runners Borussia Monchengladbach, Eintracht Frankfurt clash with runner up Bayern Munich, Werder Bremen see Freiburg and newly promoted Union Berlin take on local rivals Hertha Berlin.
