ACCRA, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- Ghana has named a 21-man squad for the 2019 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt later this month.
The Ghanaian side is currently stepping up preparations in Accra and expected to leave here on Monday for the tournament which runs from November 8 to 22.
Ghana is placed in Group A of the competition and will open its campaign against Cameroon on the opening day before facing Egypt and Mali.
Group B contains Nigeria, Zambia, Cote d'Ivoire, and South Africa.
The U-23 tournament will determine which three African nations will compete at the 2020 Summer Olympics men's football tournament in Japan. Enditem
