MUMBAI, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- Indian automobile major Mahindra & Mahindra has recalled its limited batch of sports utility vehicle XUV300 manufactured by May 19 to fix a faulty suspension component, a company statement said late Monday.

The inspection and subsequent rectification will be carried out free of cost for all XUV300 customers, who will be individually contacted by the company, the statement said.

The company said it was proactively carrying out this activity to ensure a hassle-free experience for its customers.

Launched in February this year, the XUV300 is the third sub-compact SUV in Mahindra's lineup after TUV300 and Nuvosport.

Mahindra & Mahindra is part of the 20.7 billion U.S. dollar Mahindra group from India operating across several sectors. Enditem
