U.S. crude oil production remains level last week: EIA

HOUSTON, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- U.S. crude oil production remained level during the week ending Nov. 1, U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said Wednesday.

According to the EIA, U.S. crude oil production last week stayed the same as the previous week at 12.6 million barrels per day (b/d), up by about 1.0 million b/d year on year. This was the fourth week that the U.S. crude oil production remained level after increasing for one week.

Oil prices declined on Wednesday after data showed U.S. crude inventories increased more than expected.

The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for December delivery declined 0.88 U.S. dollar to settle at 56.35 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for January delivery decreased 1.22 dollars to close at 61.74 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange. Enditem
