FRANKFURT, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index up 109.57 points, or 0.83 percent, to close at 13,289.46 points.
German airlines Lufthansa won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 6.84 percent. Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens and semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies rose by 4.89 percent and 4.15 percent respectively.
Multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 4.47 percent. Energy group RWE and telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom went down by 3.71 percent and 2.04 percent respectively.
Siemens was the most-traded share with a turnover of 501.2 million euros (555.2 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
