WASHINGTON -- One person died and at least 10 others were hospitalized on Thursday night in a hazmat incident at a restaurant in Burlington in the northeastern U.S. state of Massachusetts, authorities said.

A male employee of a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant, after being exposed to a strong cleaning agent, died at a hospital, Burlington Fire Department Interim Chief Michael Patterson said in a statement. (US-Hazmat incident)

MADRID -- A boat carrying immigrants capsized off the coast of the island of Lanzarote in the Spanish Canary Islands, killing nine people, local rescue services confirmed on Thursday.

The tragedy happened in the early hours of Wednesday morning when the boat hit rocks close to the town of Teguise on the east coast of the popular holiday island while battling adverse weather conditions. (Spain-Immigrants)

SRINAGAR, Indian-controlled Kashmir -- At least seven people including two troopers were killed, and many others injured due to heavy snowfall that hit Indian-controlled Kashmir, officials said Friday.

TRIPOLI -- A total of 39 illegal immigrants were arrested in the western Libyan city of Zuwara on Thursday, the city's security department said.

"After receiving information about a site in eastern Zuwara suspected to be used to gather illegal immigrants, a patrol was immediately assigned to the scene. Upon arrival, 39 illegal immigrants of Bangladeshi nationality were found," the department said in a statement on late Thursday. (Libya-Migrant) Enditem
