BAGHDAD -- A total of 23 protesters and security forces members have been killed and more than 1,077 injured amid ongoing demonstrations in Baghdad and southern provinces of Iraq from Nov. 3 to 7, the Iraqi High Commission for Human Rights said Friday.

As monitoring the ongoing demonstrations in Baghdad and a number of provinces through its teams, the commission noted that the security forces continued to use live bullets, tear gas and sound bombs to disperse protesters. (Iraq-Protests)

WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Donald Trump will discuss bilateral and regional issues with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov later this month in Washington D.C., the White House said in a statement on Friday.

Trump and Borissov will hold meetings at the White House on Nov. 25. The two leaders will discuss ways to strengthen the two NATO allies' common security interests, especially in ensuring stability in the Black Sea region and facilitating energy diversification, among others, according to the statement. GAZA -- At least 69 Palestinian demonstrators were injured in clashes on Friday afternoon with Israeli soldiers stationed on the border between eastern Gaza Strip and Israel, a local official said.

Ashraf al-Qedra, spokesman of the health ministry in Gaza, said in an emailed press statement that 69 Palestinian demonstrators were injured in eastern Gaza, including 29 who were shot and injured by Israeli soldiers' gunfire. (Palestinian-Israel)

WARSAW -- Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced the new structure of the government on Friday night, following the victory of governing Law and Justice (PiS) in parliamentary elections on Oct. 13.
