UNITED NATIONS -- UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Sunday voiced his deep concern about the situation in Bolivia following weeks of unrest that culminated in the resignation of President Evo Morales.
The UN chief urged all concerned in Bolivia to refrain from violence, reduce tension and exercise maximum restraint, said Stephane Dujarric, Guterres' spokesman, in a statement.

HONG KONG -- Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Carrie Lam said on Monday that the HKSAR government will not yield to pressure from escalating violence that is destroying Hong Kong.
Lam spoke after radicals intensified violence on Monday by paralyzing traffic across Hong Kong, committing arson at various locations, including a university campus and a metro train, and attacking and setting a passer-by ablaze. Enditem
