ATHENS -- Chinese President Xi Jinping and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Monday visited the Piraeus Port, a flagship project in bilateral collaboration, and hailed it as a success under the Belt and Road cooperation.

In 2009, a subsidiary of China Ocean Shipping Company, also known as COSCO, started managing the Piraeus Port's container terminals. In 2016, COSCO acquired a majority stake in the port and formally took over its management and operation. (Greece-China-Xi-Piraeus Port)

BANDUNG, Indonesia -- Around 125 delegates of non-government organizations from China and all the ASEAN member countries participated in the 12th China-ASEAN Conference on People to People Friendship Organizations (CACPPFO) here on Monday.

MEXICO CITY -- Evo Morales, who had announced his resignation as Bolivian president earlier, accepted on Monday the political asylum offered by the Mexican government, according to Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard.

PRAGUE -- Four people died in a crash of three cars near Pavlice, south Moravia of the Czech Republic, on Monday, according to local police.

The police said an Audi car drove into the opposite direction for an unknown reason and collided head-on with a Volkswagen. The crash hit another car behind the Volkswagen. Three people from the Audi and the driver of the Volkswagen died. (Czech Republic-Car Accident-Toll) Enditem
