TOKYO, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks were mixed Tuesday morning as the yen's retreat saw export-linked issues rise, although this was offset by selling by some investors to lock in recent gains.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average added 38.35 points, or 0.16 percent, from Monday to 23,370.19.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, lost 3.87 points, or 0.23 percent, at 1,700.16.
Miscellaneous product and oil and coal product issues led notable gainers, while nonferrous metal and rubber product-linked issues comprised those that declined the most by the morning break. Enditem
