Air raids kill 7 civilians in Afghanistan's eastern Paktia province: official

GARDEZ, Afghanistan, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- Air raids claimed the lives of seven civilians in Aryub Zazai district of Afghanistan's eastern Paktia province on Monday, district governor Ezatullah Khan said Tuesday.

According to the official, an unmanned plane targeted a car in Alsangi area of the troubled district Monday evening killing seven persons including two men, three women and two children.

All the victims belonged to the same family, the official said.

The official said an investigation was initiated into the incident, but did not identify the attacking plane nor provide more details. Enditem
