SEOUL, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- One man has been confirmed dead and five others injured in an explosion that occurred at South Korea's weapons development agency, Yonhap and Newsis news agencies reported Wednesday citing the firefighting authorities.
The explosion accident occurred at about 4:24 p.m. local time in a laboratory of one of the buildings for the Agency for Defense Development (ADD) in the country's central city of Daejeon.
One man, identified as an ADD researcher in his 40s, was confirmed dead, and five others were injured. The wounded were taken into a nearby hospital.
The exact cause of the accident had yet to be made public. The firefighting authorities were investigating the scene, according to the media.
About 120 firefighters and 30 pieces of equipment were reportedly mobilized to handle the accident. Enditem
