Botswana to host Zone IV swimming championships

GABORONE, Botswana, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Botswana will host the 2020 Confederation Africaine de Natation (CANA) ZONE IV Swimming Championships from February 20 to 23, 2020, at the University of Botswana in the country's capital Gaborone.

The Botswana Swimming Sports Association stated on Tuesday that 320 athletes, coaches and officials from 13 countries in southern Africa are expected to attend the tournament.

Recognized by the world swimming body FINA, CANA Zone IV is expected to attract top-class athletes, as well as showcase the region's young talent and upcoming swimmers.

Countries expected to attend include Angola, Comoros, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, eSwatini, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Enditem
