OTTAWA -- Multinational enterprises, which are playing an important role in the Canadian economy, were responsible for 32.7 percent of Canada's total gross domestic product (GDP) in 2017 and employed 23.2 percent of the total workforce in the country, said Statistics Canada Monday.

WASHINGTON -- U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced on Monday that the U.S. government will no longer consider Israel's West Bank settlements "inconsistent" with the international law, a move that may further dim the future of the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.

ADDIS ABABA -- The African Union (AU) and the United Nations World Health Organization (WHO) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on stronger cooperation in improving Africa's public health sector.
