BISHKEK, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- The support of Kyrgyzstan's partners is necessary if a single railway linking the country with China and Uzbekistan is to become a reality, Kyrgyz President Sooronbai Jeenbekov said here on Tuesday.

"It is very important that this major project of international importance receives support from our partners," Jeenbekov said at an international donors' forum entitled "Accelerating Reforms for Sustainable Development."

Since Kyrgyzstan gained independence, major projects have been implemented in the country with the help of partners, including China, Russia, Turkey, Japan, South Korea, the United States, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, among others, said the president in his keynote speech.

The forum was attended by representatives of 25 international donor organizations and financial institutions and Kyrgyzstan's development partners. Enditem
