MEXICO CITY -- Ten Mexicans are suing U.S. chain store Walmart for failing to protect its customers in an August mass shooting that left 22 people dead in El Paso, Texas, the Mexican Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.

"The objective ... is to hold the company accountable for not taking reasonable and necessary measures to protect its customers from the attack at its Cielo Vista branch in El Paso," the ministry said in a statement. (US-Mexico-Shooting-Sue)

ROME -- At least four people -- including the wife of the factory's owner -- died on Wednesday after explosions at the Barcelona Pozzo di Gotto fireworks company, Italian media reported.

DUBLIN -- A total of 16 people with unknown nationalities were found alive in a sealed trailer of a truck on a ferry heading towards Ireland from France, reported Irish national radio and television broadcaster on Thursday afternoon.

Stena Line, the operator of the ferry, confirmed the report by saying in a statement the 16 people were found by an employee of the ferry who heard the banging from inside the truck parked on the vehicle deck of the ferry which is due to arrive at a sea port in southeast Ireland at 3:30 p.m. Irish time.
