SINGAPORE, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going up 1.05 percent, or 33.44 points, to close at 3,225.65.
A total of 1.3 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.14 billion Singapore dollars (about 836.51 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 235 to 132.
The STI index went down 1.16 percent, or 37.57 points, to close at 3,192.21 on Thursday. Enditem
