KIEV, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- A Turkish Airlines' Boeing 737 carrying 134 passengers and crew members rolled off the runway when trying to land at Ukraine's Odesa International Airport, local media reported on Friday.

"The airplane landed but due to strong winds it skidded off the runway which resulted in the landing gear being torn off," the airport representatives told Interfax Ukraine news agency.

The representatives also said that the passengers and crew members onboard en route from Istanbul to Odessa were not injured and evacuated safely.

The airport will remain shut down until 6 p.m. local time (1600 GMT). Enditem
