HELSINKI, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- French mobile banking developer Eversend on Friday emerged as the winner of the Slush 100 pitching competition in the Finnish capital.

Eversend is marketing mobile banking especially to Africa, according to the organizers.

During the Slush 100 pitching competition, 100 early-stage startups took the stage in front of thousands of visitors and competed for the attention of investors, media, potential partners and talent, and one will win the final prize.

This year, about 4,000 startups and 2,000 investors participated in Slush 2019, a two-day startup and investor event which started on Thursday.

Started in 2008 as a student driven event, Slush has now become a famous startup and investor event, which facilitates meetings between the founders of startups and investors and aims to build a worldwide startup community.

The event is held annually, in late fall, in Helsinki. Enditem
