DAMASCUS, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- A car bomb went off in an area controlled by the Turkey-backed rebels in northeastern Syria on Tuesday, state news agency SANA and a watchdog reported.
The explosion hit the village of Tal Half on the outskirts of Ras al-Ayn city in the countryside of the northeastern province of Hasakah, said SANA.
An undisclosed number of civilians were killed or wounded in the blast, it added.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also said a powerful explosion rocked the village, leaving many casualties.
It is the latest in a string of bombings targeting areas that have been recently stormed by the Turkey-backed rebels.
On Nov. 23, at least 30 people were killed and wounded in a bombing in the town of Tal Abyad in the countryside of Raqqa Province in northern Syria.
The Turkey-backed rebels entered Tal Abyad and other areas in northern Syria after Turkey launched an assault against Kurdish-controlled areas last month. Enditem
