TOKYO, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks opened higher Wednesday, after Wall Street's strong lead saw record closing highs overnight.
In the opening minutes after the morning bell, the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 70.64 points, or 0.30 percent, from Tuesday to 23,443.96.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, added 4.38 points, or 0.26 percent, at 1,710.09.
Nonferrous metal, glass and ceramic product and metal product-linked issues comprised early notable gainers. Enditem
