SOFIA, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- Two patients were killed here on Wednesday in a hospital fire here in the Bulgarian capital, officials said.
The fire broke out at 4.00 a.m. local time (0200 GMT) in a ward where most of the patients were on oxygen therapy, Nikolay Gabrovski, deputy director of University Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment and Emergency Medicine, told a press conference.
The cause of the incident is still under investigation, with the country's Interior Minister Mladen Marinov saying that it was believed to be linked to an explosion of oxygen equipment.
In March, three patients were killed in a fire at a psychiatric hospital in Plovdiv, Bulgaria's second largest city. Enditem
