TOKYO, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks were mixed Thursday morning as buying after record high closes on Wall Street overnight was offset by selling on fresh concerns over the prospect of an interim trade deal agreement being reached between two major economies.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average added 16.19 points, or 0.07 percent, from Wednesday to 23,453.96.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, dropped 0.43 points, or 0.03 percent, at 1,710.55.
Iron and steel, and oil and coal product issues led notable gainers, while land transportation and metal product-linked issues were among those that declined the most by the morning break. Enditem
