RAMALLAH, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian sources said on Thursday that the Israeli military demolished four homes in the southern West Bank early in the morning.

The homes, located in the village of Beit Kahil near Hebron city, belong to the families of four Palestinians who are imprisoned by Israel on charges of being involved in the killing of an Israeli settler near the Gush Etzion settlement bloc in southern West Bank in August.

Local sources said residents clashed with Israeli soldiers who used bulldozers to demolish the homes and fired tear gas to disperse Palestinian protesters.

"Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that there will be no more terror, but we must charge a heavy price to anyone who raises his hand against Israel's citizens," Israeli Defense Minister Naftali Bennett said in a statement following the demolition. Enditem
