HELSINKI, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Last year's overall World Cup and sprint World Cup winner Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo of Norway won the season opener FIS Cross-Country World Cup in Ruka, Finland on Friday.
Klaebo, who won three gold medals at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Games, crossed the line in two minutes 39.47 seconds to triumph in the 1.4 km sprint classic event, 4.17 seconds ahead of compatriot Paal Golberg, while Richard Jouve of France was third.
Norway's Maiken Caspersen Falla took gold of the women's race in 3:07.09. Falla finished 2.33 in front of Sweden's Jonna Sundling, while American Sadie Bjornsen had bronze. Enditem
