DAMASCUS, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- As many as 13 civilians were between killed and wounded in an explosion that rocked a rebel-held area in northern Raqqa province on Saturday, state news agency SANA and a war monitor reported.

The explosion was caused by a car bomb that went off in the village of Ayn al-Arous in the northern countryside of Raqqa province, where Turkey forces and Turkey-backed rebels are located.

SANA said the car bomb left property damage in the area.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also reported the explosion, saying it was a powerful blast that left many casualties and property losses.

The UK-based watchdog group said a state of lawlessness is prevailing areas controlled by the Turkey-backed rebels in northern Syria.

On October 9, Turkey and Turkey-backed rebels launched a wide-scale offensive on Kurdish forces in northern Syria, stripping the Kurdish militia of areas on the borderline between both countries. Enditem
