MANILA, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's "skating princess" Chole Ing made a come-back win over Filipino Alisson Perticheto, snatching the gold medal at 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games ladies' figure skating event here on Sunday.

Perticheto, who topped the ladies' short program with 53.65 points on Friday, had a total score of 132.76 points after making errors in her jumps at free skating.

However, Ing, the silver medalist in 2017, earned 102.00 points with flawless performance in her routine to a total of 152.67 points for the gold medal.

Savika Zahira of Indonesia scored an aggregate of 100.80 points and took bronze. She posted 68.18 in free skating and had 32.62 points in the short program.

"I achieved what I am aiming to achieve. I cannot believe I can come back to claim the gold at today's competition," Ing, the 21-year-old figure skater, told Xinhua in an interview, adding that it is the day-by-day training that leads to her achievement.

Speaking of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, Ing said it is hard to say if she can manage to see action in Beijing but she will do her best. "I am just keeping my training hard and when the time comes, we will see how the thing goes," she said.

Julian Yee, the Malaysian skater, claimed the championship at men's figure skating event with a total of 202.62 points on the same day. The Filipino Christopher Caluza and Micah Kai Lynette from Thailand snatched silver and bronze, respectively.

Three winter Olympics events, speed skating, figure skating, and ice hockey, feature in this year's SEA Games.

The speed skating tournament will kick off on Tuesday. Enditem
