BUDAPEST, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- The Swallows of Kabul, a drama co-produced by France, Luxemburg and Switzerland from directors Zabou Breitman and Elea Gobbe-Mevellec has won the 17th Anilogue International Animation Festival, organizers said here on Sunday.

The Swallows of Kabul won the competition for full-length animations, the film festival said in a statement. "At the closing gala at the Urania National Film Theater, one of the film's directors, Elea Gobbe-Mevellec, took possession of the award in person," the statement added.

The Prince's Voyage (France/Luxemburg) from directors Jean-Francois Laguionie et Xavier Picard received the special prize of the jury, while the jury awarded the Best of Anilogue Award in the short animation's category to the Czech film of Daria Kashcheeva: "Daughter."

For the first time this year, 20 animations designed specifically for children were also competing. The winner of the Children's Film - and the Student Jury Award - was Martin Smatana's animated film "The Kite."

The audience award went to Salvador Simo's feature film "Bunuel in the Labyrinth of the Turtles", a Spanish, Dutch and German coproduction.

The 17th Anilogue International Animation Festival kicked off on Nov. 27 with more than 300 films. Enditem
