MANILA, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- The Philippines' Carlos Yulo dominated the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games artistic gymnastics events by capturing the men's floor exercise gold medal, his second, here on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old Filipino talent, who has won gold and bronze at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, was second to perform and earned 14.700 points from the judges at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila, leaving the rest of seven players on the field to battle for the silver medal.

Tikumporn Surintornta of Thailand came in second with a score of 13.833 while Zur Bahrin Mat Asri of Malaysia snatched the bronze with 13.767.

It was Yulo's second gold medal in three days after ruling the men's individual all-around on Sunday on his debut appearance in the biennial multi-sport meet.

Just moments after receiving his gold medal at floor exercise on Tuesday afternoon, Yulo secured his first silver medal in the men's pommel horse finals, with a score of 12.233.

The Malaysian Tan Fu Jie dethrone the domination of the Filipino gymnast by outstanding performances, scoring 13.967 points.

At the 2019 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Stuttgart this October, Yulo claimed gold in the floor exercise, becoming the first-ever Filipino, as well as the first male Southeast Asian gymnast, to retain gold at a world gymnastics championship. Enditem
