TEHRAN, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Iranian navy's aviation fleet was equipped with three domestically made ultralight planes on Tuesday, Tasnim news agency reported.
The navy received the new planes named "Chakavak" in a ceremony held in the southern port city of Bandar Abbas.
The Iranian Navy Commander Hossein Khanzadi attended the ceremony.
The aircraft has been designed by a domestic knowledge-based company, said the report without specifying more details.
The planes are capable of flying at an altitude of 14,000 feet above sea level for 4.5 hours at a speed of 280 km per hour. Enditem
