LONDON, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Wednesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.42 percent, or 29.74 points, to close at 7,188.50 points.
Meggitt, a British engineering business specialising in aerospace equipment, soared 3.46 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. EVRAZ and DS Smith increased by 3.42 percent and 2.88 percent, respectively.
