LONDON, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Thursday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.70 percent, or 50.65 points, to close at 7,137.85 points.
NMC Health, a private healthcare services provider, soared 6.57 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Fresnillo and Burberry Group increased by 3.26 percent and 3.12 percent, respectively.
Glencore, an Anglo-Swiss multinational commodity trading and mining company, with its shares losing 9.00 percent. DS Smith, a British-based international packaging business, dropped 7.15 percent.
