FRANKFURT, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged down on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index down 85.77 points, or 0.65 percent, to close at 13,054.80 points.
Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens lost 1.53 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by personal-care company Beiersdorf and multinational chemical firm Linde, which lost 1.38 percent and 1.24 percent respectively.
Aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero gained 2.41 percent, the top gainer. Pharmaceutical company Merck and automotive manufacturer BMW advanced 0.63 percent and 0.07 percent respectively.
Siemens was the most traded share, with a turnover of 254.6 million euros (282.4 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
