SINGAPORE, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going up 0.65 percent, or 20.52 points, to close at 3,194.71.
A total of 1.00 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.19 billion Singapore dollars (about 875 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 183 to 171.
The STI index went down 0.42 percent, or 13.29 points, to close at 3,159.79 Thursday. Enditem
