WASHINGTON -- A gunman and at least one other person were killed Friday morning following a shooting at Naval Air Station Pensacola in Florida, according to the U.S. Navy.

ODESSA, Ukraine -- Two people have been killed, 30 injured and 13 others are still missing in a fire which broke out on Wednesday in a college building in Odessa, southern Ukraine, the State Emergency Service of Odessa Region said Friday.

As of Friday morning, the fire has been extinguished and search and rescue operations are underway at the site, authorities said. The total area of the fire exceeded 3,000 square meters. (Ukraine-College-Fire)

MAIDAN SHAR, Afghanistan -- Six militants were confirmed dead as fighting planes targeted Taliban hideouts in Sayedabad district of Afghanistan's eastern Wardak province, said an army statement Friday.

According to the statement, six armed militants have been killed over the past 24 hours, as the fighting planes continued to strike the militants' hideouts in the restive province with Maidan Shahr as its capital 35 km west of Kabul. (Afghanistan-Taliban-Militant)

ATHENS -- Libya's ambassador to Greece was summoned to the foreign ministry on Friday morning, where he was informed of the decision for his expulsion and was given a 72-hour deadline to leave the country, Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias said, quoted by Greek national news agency AMNA.
