LONDON, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 1.43 percent, or 101.81 points, to close at 7,239.66 points.
DS Smith, a British-based international packaging business, soared 5.17 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Evraz and Antofagasta increased by 4.57 percent and 3.53 percent, respectively.
NMC Health, a private healthcare services provider, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 2.50 percent.
