WASHINGTON -- The shooter who opened fire at Naval Air Station Pensacola in Florida early Friday morning and killed at least three people before being neutralized by police officers was a Saudi national in aviation training at the base, officials said.

GENEVA -- The International Organization for Migration (IOM) said on Friday that the death toll from Wednesday's tragic sinking of a fishing boat carrying migrants to the Canary Islands rose to 62 as of late Thursday.

ODESSA, Ukraine -- Four people have been killed, and 11 are still missing as a result of a fire in the building of the Odesa college with the death toll expected to rise further as the firefighters have no hope to find people alive, the Ukrainian State Emergency Service said on its website Friday.

WAJIR, Kenya -- At least ten people were killed and several others injured after Islamist extremist group, al-Shabab, ambushed a commuter bus in northeast Kenya on Friday evening, the police said.
