FRANKFURT, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index up 74.90 points, or 0.57 percent, to close at 13,221.64 points.
Deutsche Bank won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.38 percent. Material manufacturer Covestro and semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies rose by 2.44 percent and 2.40 percent respectively.
Aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 3.29 percent. Personal-care company Beiersdorf and energy group RWE went down by 0.96 percent and 0.91 percent respectively.
Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard was the most-traded share with a turnover of 248.5 million euros (276.7 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
