HONG KONG -- Rioters continued disruptive activities in several shopping malls in Hong Kong on Saturday, forcing shops to close and beating up shoppers.

A large group of masked rioters gathered in Landmark North, a mall in Hong Kong's Sheung Shui, storming shops and demanding shoppers to leave. Given the disturbance, a number of stores including Sa Sa and G2000 closed. Police have entered the mall for law enforcement. (HK-Violence)

SUVA -- One people died while nearly 2,000 people take refuge in over 50 evacuation centers, as the category-two tropical cyclone Sarai continues to sweep Fiji with heavy rain and wind.

According to a government press release on Saturday night, the Fiji National Disaster Management Office confirmed that an 18-year-old student drowned on Saturday afternoon after being swept away by strong currents while swimming in waters on the southern island of Kadavu, 200 km south of Fijian capital of Suva. NEW DELHI -- An onion laden truck was hijacked and subsequently looted in India's eastern state of Bihar, police said Saturday.

The truck carrying five tonnes of onion was hijacked on Thursday night on the old Grand Trunk Road at Mohania in Kaimur district, about 173 km west of Patna, the capital city of Bihar. (India-Onion)

SUVA -- The Samoan government decided on Saturday to end the measles state of emergency which was in place since November.

According to a government statement, the Samoan government said that the decision was made at a cabinet meeting on Saturday afternoon and the Ministry of Health together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are tasked with the preparations of the recovery plan to be tabled for Cabinet's consideration in two weeks from Saturday.
