HONG KONG -- After another of its branches was trashed, HSBC on Wednesday evening condemned the repeated violent acts of rioters targeting its banks and properties in recent days.

HONG KONG -- Rioters took advantage of a protest to wreak havoc again in Hong Kong on New Year's Day, trashing an HSBC branch, setting fire on streets, and spray-painting insulting words on the outer wall of the High Court.

KUNDUZ, Afghanistan -- Up to 12 security personnel have been confirmed dead as fighting erupted in the northern Kunduz province on Wednesday, member of Provincial Council Fauzia Jawad Yaftali said.
