NIAMEY -- At least 25 soldiers were killed in an attack on a military camp in western Niger Thursday night, the country's defence ministry said.

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said on Thursday that it will join Iran's probe into the fatal crash of a Ukrainian passenger plane near Tehran.

In a statement, the NTSB said its response operations center has received formal notification from Iran's Aircraft Accident Investigation Board (AAIB) of the crash of Ukraine International Airlines flight PS-752, which killed 167 passengers and nine crew members on board. (US-Iran-Plane Crash)

OTTAWA -- Canada's Transportation Safety Board (TSB) has been invited by Iran's accident investigation agency to the site where a Ukrainian airliner crashed, killing 176 people on board, including at least 63 Canadians, the board said Thursday in a statement.

"We have accepted this invitation and we are making arrangements to travel to the site. The TSB will be working with other groups and organization already on site," the board said. (Canada-Ukraine-Crash) Enditem
