ISTANBUL, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- Three people were found dead on Friday off the Black Sea coast in the Turkish city of Istanbul after they went missing in a ship collision.

Earlier in the day, a Turkish fishing boat collided with a Russian tanker in the area, the Turkish Coast Guard said in a statement posted on its website.

Three others were rescued by local fishermen in the area, the statement said.

The tanker, going from Russia to Turkey's western province of Izmir, was about to enter the Bosphorus Strait when the accident happened, the Anadolu Agency reported. Enditem
