PRAGUE, Jan.12 (Xinhua) -- Over 50 protestors assembled in front of the U.S. Embassy in Prague on Sunday to protest against an escalation of tensions in the Middle East after the killing of a top Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani by a U.S. airstrike in Iraq.

The protest was represented by members of Socialist Solidarity, the Young Greens, International Feminists United, the Czech Communist Party and other organizations.

Former Member of Parliament Marta Semelova was present at the demonstration and spoke to reporters about the situation in the Middle East.

"This is the first anti-war demonstration for us for many years and we would definitely like to continue with pressure," said Jan Majicek, the organizer of the demonstration. Enditem
