WASHINGTON, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 jolted 40km ENE of Kashima-shi, Japan at 0425 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 35.0 km, was initially determined to be at 36.0779 degrees north latitude and 141.0741 degrees east longitude. Enditem
