SINGAPORE, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Singaporean stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going up 0.6 percent, or 19.47 points, to close at 3,270.54.
A total of 1.5 million shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.27 billion Singapore dollars (about 940 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 203 to 202.
The STI index went down 0.15 percent, or 4.88 points, to close at 3,251.07 Monday. Enditem
